No injuries were reported, but the fire caused $250,000 in structural damage and $250,000 in damage to the house’s contents.

Starting in the attached garage, the fire was caused by a mechanical failure of the engine compartment of a 2010 Acura TSX, the release says.

After the owner came home and parked in the garage, a landscaping company employee who was mowing the lawn told the owner that they saw smoke coming from the garage, according to the release. The owner opened the garage door and saw heavy smoke. As they tried to extinguish the fire, it damaged another vehicle inside the garage and another parked in front of it.
