RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) –We have another day of hot weather on tap over the aera before the remains off all the nasty weather that hit over the weekend inches in here to bring a few showers to our forecast.

Fair and mild for tonight over us with lows generally staying in the lower 60s.

Tomorrow will start off with mostly sunny skies and then turn partly cloudy in the afternoon.   That should hold our high temperatures to the middle 80s over us.

Up in the mountains, that will lead to an isolated shower by late in the day and the evening hours.   The steering winds will be out of the southwest, so it should deflect most of them away from us.

Wednesday we will have lots of clouds over the area and that will cool us down into the upper 70s to near 80.

The passage of an upper level disturbance over the area will lead us to have the risk of showers and possible an isolated thunderstorm by later in the day.   The models look to be a little too far to the southeast on where they generate the initial band of showers.

Nice and mild weather will be on tap for Thursday and Friday which should keep us in the lower 80s.

It is Arts in the Park this weekend, but the weather looks unsettled.   An upper level system will be crossing the area in slow motion and that will be setting the stage for several rounds of showers over us.

Since May is on the doorstep, it’s time to start looking for when “Blackberry Winter” will set up over us.  Right now the long range models keep it away from us for next week, but there are signs for it to arrive in the middle of the month.
