If you thought the Eagles were done shopping for quarterbacks, think again.
On Saturday, ESPN announced that Philadelphia — a week after trading for ex-Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett — will sign former Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots backup Will Grier.
Grier has spent most of his career shuttling between practice squad units and rosters while bouncing around the NFL.

He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round in 2019, and his only NFL action has come in two games as a starter for them during his rookie year. He was 0-2, and his numbers were horrific: 28-for-52 for 228 yards, no TDs and four interceptions for a passer rating of 33.2
He was signed, cut, re-signed by the Cowboys for 2021-23, then signed by the Bengals, where the Patriots plucked him from the practice squad. They waived and re-signed him in 2023, and the Chargers signed him off the Patriots’ practice squad near the end of the 2023 season.
