Jersey Bulls boss Gary Freeman says he will settle for a point after a 0-0 draw at play-off chasing Redhill.

The islanders created few chances until the final 20 minutes when the hosts had Jack Saunders sent off for a second yellow card as Ruben Mendes and Luke Campbell both went close.

The point leaves Bulls third in Combined Counites Premier South with six games to play.

Redhill are ninth, two points off the final play-off place.

"I think before the start of today we knew a point was probably better for us, so it was important that we stayed in the game and managed the game, which I think we did," Freeman told BBC Radio Jersey.

"Obviously, once they went down to 10, it was then could we get a goal?

"I thought we created three or four good chances in that last 10-minute period and even when we spoke at half-time we said it might just be one chance, it's going to be a 1-0 game.

"We wanted to make sure we weren't conceding it, and as the second half went on we looked less likely to concede.

"It may be a missed opportunity, but it was important that we've kept them seven points behind us and we've lost another game each."
