Zelfa Barrett beats Jordan Gill with a 10th-round stoppage victory
Promoter Eddie Hearn to DAZN: "Unfortunately, there's a winner and a loser, but here we've got two great blokes. I know Jordan Gill will be upset, but don't give up. After nine rounds, it was anyone's fight.
"This man found it with two fantastic body shots. Two really good guys. For Jordan, I believe he can come back stronger. For [Barrett], it's time to give him a world title shot.
"Anybody who has a strap at 130lbs, I believe he's more than earned it and he can be a world champion. It's our job to go and deliver them a shot at the world title."
Zelfa Barrett beats Jordan Gill with a 10th-round stoppage victory
Jordan Gill to DAZN: "Congratulations to Zelfa, what a fantastic fighter. He proved to me tonight he's world-class. I genuinely hope he goes on to win that world title. He's very tricky, hard to pin down. The more I pushed, I left myself open to those body shots. I got up, I will never give up, that's just who I am.
"The ref has a job to do, I'd been down twice. I think I could've carried on but it's not down to me. It's hard, I really wanted to win, my team worked really hard.
"Silly mistakes from me cost me. No excuses, I was in the best condition I could be in, physically and mentally. He is a world champion in the making."

"I would like to thank Eddie Hearn, the best promoter in the world. Gill is a top, top fighter.
"I had to work hard. I knew Gill was good but I didn't think he was that good. I had to work hard. We worked on the body pattern and we worked hard. I have to thank Eddie so much, it's my dream.
On his next opponent: "Anybody can get it. I've worked hard and I'm ready for anybody.
"Thank you Manchester, I love you all, thank you for coming to support me."

Plenty of applause from the Manchester crowd for Jordan Gill, who is diplomatic in defeat and said the referee made the right call.
Loads of respect between Barrett and Gill in the ring too. It's nice when boxing, occasionally, remembers to be a noble sport.

It was a brilliant finish. We said a couple of rounds ago we wanted to see Barrett go through the gears because when he does, he looks a million dollars. You talk about class, pedigree, excitement. When Barrett puts his hands together, he looks class.

Barrett goes after his man again and this time it is waved off by the referee.
It's over.

Jordan Gill has landed the kind of punches that would win the last couple of rounds, but that has been a good response from Barrett.
Round 9 - Gill v Barrett
A well-timed left counter from Barrett and that's probably his best work in the past eight minutes. An uppercut also finds the range, but Gill takes the shot well and is not noticeably troubled by it.
Gill does rock the Barrett head back with an extended left jab.
His corner like what they are seeing.
"How do you feel?" Gill is asked.
"Good," he responds.
"Looking good, looking good," is the next message to the fighter

The haymakers both men were throwing at the start of the fight, and which were narrowly missing, are now starting to hit. Spit and sweat flying everywhere under the spotlights.
Who will be left standing?
Tony Bellew
Retired world champion on DAZN
It is really close. I'd say Jordan is ever so slightly ahead but it's close. Jordan seems to have got a bit of a foothold in the last few exchanges. If I have to put anyone ahead it's Jordan Gill.
Small differences can be the big difference in this fight.
Round 8 - Gill v Barrett
An uppercut then one to the body from Barrett is some good variety to give Gill something to think about.
Gill pushes Barrett back into the corner and lands a couple of body shots but, once more, Barrett is able to punch is way out of danger. It's really close, it's really good.
