Former Shippensburg boys basketball standout Cole Trn will have a new home next season.
According to a release on the RPN Factory website, Trn will be taking his talents to The Hill School in Pottstown and will reclassify for the 2027 class. Trn spent his 2023-24 campaign at St. Maria Goretti in Hagerstown, Maryland, which is set to close at the end of the academic year.
“Thank you for all the support and help you have given me throughout this year,” Trn said in a statement. “I’m forever grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Coach (Sid) McCray and compete with a good group of teammates in a very challenging Baltimore Catholic League. Though it has been a rough year for all of us, I believe this year was still a special year. As I am forever grateful for this once in a lifetime opportunity. I wish the best to everyone with what the future may hold.”
Trn averaged 10 points per game with the Gaels while recording 80 rebounds and 51 assists. As a freshman at Shippensburg, he was named a Mid-Penn Colonial Division Second Team all-star, finishing his debut season with averages of 12.9 points and 3.5 assists per game.
The Hill School is a member of the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association. The Rams completed a 16-9 2023-24 season.
