CLAY COUNTY, Ark. – Arkansas State Police are investigating after a crash involving a semi-truck killed six people in Clay County Monday afternoon.

According to ASP officials, a semi-truck and an SUV crashed at the intersection of Arkansas State Highway 135 and U.S. Highway 62 near Corning just before 12:30 p.m.

Special agents said that four adults and two children were killed in the crash. Officials said that the victims’ bodies will be taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine their identities.

The semi-truck driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police officials have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
