Man stabbed Saturday morning in Mobile

UPDATE: 8:00 Mobile Police say one man was stabbed and taken to a hospital. There’s no word on any arrest at this point. This is an ongoing investigation.

ORIGINAL STORY: MOBILE, Ala (WKRG) – Mobile Police are responding the report of a stabbing that occurred on Saturday morning on Spruce Street at around 6:40 A.M.

Firefighters and police officers arrived quickly on the scene.

The scene was secured moments after the initial call to emergency services. When we arrived we saw one ambulance leaving with its lights and sirens on. A fire engine and at least one Mobile Police cruiser was also leaving. It appeared at least one person was hurt. We don’t know what lead up to this incident or how badly the victim was injured.

This is a developing story. We’ve reached out to Mobile Police for more information and are waiting to hear back.
