Mitchell Tenpenny, Lauren Alaina to headline annual Bureau County country concert
BUREAU Co., Ill. (KWQC) - Mitchell Tenpenny with special guest Lauren Alaina will headline the annual county concert at this year’s Bureau County Fair in Princeton.
They will perform at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 22. Online ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. Friday
According to fair officials, Tenpenny is a multi-faceted entertainer, singer, songwriter, producer and performer.
Since the release of his debut 3X platinum-certified No. 1 hit single, “Drunk Me,” he has set new standards for breakout success in country music, officials said.
He was recognized for surpassing the One Billion streams threshold, now surpassing 1.5 Billion global streams.
Mitchell’s latest album “This Is The Heavy” contains the platinum-selling #1 hit “Truth About You,” a song that made chart history with shortest span between #1 songs since 1982 with just three weeks since his last chart topper. “Truth About You” followed Mitchell’s co-penned #1 collaboration with labelmate Chris Young on the ACM Music Event nominated “At The End Of A Bar.”
Grand Ole Opry member and Big Loud Records powerhouse Alaina is releasing her debut EP with the label on June 9. The six-song set titled “Unlocked” re-introduces the multi-faceted star, stripping back every layer and allowing fans to know her more than ever before, officials said.
Alaina has earned three chart-topping hits: RIAA platinum-certified “Road Less Traveled,” 7x platinum “What Ifs” with her childhood friend Kane Brown, and 2x platinum “ONE BEER” with labelmate HARDY + Devin Dawson.
