LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for attempted child sex trafficking.

Justin Aubrey, 26, pleaded guilty in January. According to court records, Aubrey used a cell phone to talk to two people online and tried to negotiate to pay for sex with children.

Court records also state Aubrey then showed up to meet one of the children, with money, but was met with police and arrested.

Following his 15-year sentence, Aubrey will serve a life term of supervised release for one count of attempted sex trafficking of children and one count of attempted online enticement of a minor. There is no parole in the federal system.

Aubrey's arrest was part of Operation Angel, where several police agencies work undercover together to catch people trying to sexually exploit minors.
