Chance the Rapper will soon be also known as Chance the Divorcee as the hip-hop star and his wife of five years have officially announced their split.

Chance and Kristen Corley, who have been together for a total of 10 years and wed in 2019, took to social media to share a joint statement about the divorce.

“After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways,” they wrote in their Instagram Stories on Wednesday. “We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. … We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition.”

The estranged couple said they’ll continue to co-parent their two daughters, Kensli, 8, and Marli, 4.

Corley and Chance, currently a judge on “The Voice,” knew each other from an early age. In a series of tweets from 2019, the “Coloring Book” lyricist recalled meeting Corley at one of his mom’s office parties, writing: “I knew I was gonna marry that girl.”

However, the couple at times had a rocky relationship that included court cases pertaining to child support. They lived apart for roughly two years before reconciling and getting engaged in 2018. They tied the knot in March the following year.

Chance the Rapper’s 2019 debut studio album, “The Big Day,” which featured him wearing a wedding band on its cover, was influenced by their marriage.
