Logitech has announced the G Pro X 60 Lightspeed, a gaming keyboard that’s big in power but small in size. It’s the company’s first 60% form factor gaming keyboard and jams an impressive amount of functionality into a small unit. Designed in partnership with 60 pro players, the Logitech G Pro X 60 was “engineered to win” the company says. The keyboard will retail for $179.99 and it goes up for pre-order starting today. It’ll officially launch on April 16.

It comes in three colorways, black, pink, and white, and there are also two options for switches, with linear and tactile GX Optical switches. Like its bigger brother, the G Pro X TKL, it also comes with a semi-hard carrying case to keep it easily portable. As this was designed for pro players, the case ensures easy transport between tournaments and anywhere else. But it also makes for a great protective cover for anyone who often takes their keyboard around to play with friends.

The Logitech G Pro X 60 can support up to 15 actions per key

The secret to the sauce for the Pro X 60 is the KEYCONTROL feature. Logitech says it was engineered to win. But one might wonder how you can achieve such victories with a keyboard that doesn’t have as many keys for in-game actions. The answer is KEYCONTROL, Logitech’s brand-new tech that beefs up customization. It allows you to assign up to 15 actions to each key. So while the Pro X 60 is smaller, you’re not forfeiting anything.

With KEYCONTROL, players can open up the G Hub software and personalize the key functions. Once they have everything set, they can swap between sets of functions using the G Shift feature. Logitech also added in two nifty changes. First, the volume roller is on the left side of the keyboard. Logitech says the reason for moving this to the side was so players have quick access to turn the volume all the way up when they need it. Then they can turn the volume back down so they’re not blasting their ear drums the entire game.

The other neat addition is the Game Mode switch on the right side. When you flip this on it deactivates the Windows key so you can’t accidentally back out of your game. Additionally, the Pro X 60 features RGB backlighting, and users can customize this in the G Hub software along with everything else. The main draw here is portability. So if you game at friends’ houses a lot or you go to tournaments often, this might be the gaming keyboard for you. It should also be the perfect pairing for the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 gaming mouse.
