Junge, Maxine (Schultz) Age 89, passed away at Eagan Pointe Senior Living in Eagan, MN, on March 9, 2024. Maxine was born on January 7, 1935, the daughter of Marion Craft Schultz and Alvin Robert Schultz in Minot, North Dakota. Maxine's school years were spent in St. Thomas, North Dakota and Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. Family was the most important part of Maxine's life. Maxine married Gilbert Junge October 7, 1955. Maxine and Gil were gifted with six children: Vickie, Jeff (Amy), Laura (Chris), Greg (Stacy), Gilbert (Karin) and Jenny (Brian), eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren to date. Maxine's husband Gil was an excellent chef and his talents offered him many employment opportunities across the country. Maxine wrote a book on her life titled "Journey of the Blue Chest of Drawers" covering her life and their travels. In reflecting she stated "My Life was Happy and I kept busy with sewing and work". She was best known for her sewing of Raggedy Ann Dolls, American Girl Doll outfits and costumes for Red Hat functions. Reading filled many happy hours for Maxine later in her life. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Marion Schultz; her husband, Gil Junge; brother, Bob and sister-in-law, Ardelle; brother-in-law, Jesse Dayton. She is survived by sisters, Barbara Dayton, Renee (Jim) Hilliard, Evette (Mark) Barry; brothers, Ken (May) Schultz, Paul (Terri) Schultz and Bryan (Martha) Schultz. A private Family Gathering of Remembrance is to be held at a later time for Maxine.
