    Great Britain captain Anne Keothavong on qualifying for the finals: "It's incredible. Two years ago we were the host nation of the finals, we were the wildcard entry and we still made the semi-finals.

    "On this occasion we have qualified ourselves, the players have done it, the team have worked together and the team deserve their spot.

    "That's where I believe this team belongs and I know the girls are hungry to go out there and perform."

    "I was really pleased to win two points. Boults helped us to go 2-1 up. And the support on the bench to help us go out again. It's a massive shout out, it's not just me out there.

    "Especially being a set down, I was backed up against the wall and I didn't want to go to the doubles because they're a very strong doubles team.

    "It does feel really good. I need to shout out Ian at home who has been working with me every single day. To be able to play two matches like that back to back, it's a testament to what I've been doing I'm just glad it was able to show."

    That win was made even more spectacular by the manner of it.

    You felt the comeback was going to gain wings for Diane Parry, it threatened to.

    But Emma Raducanu managed to reset in the tie-break, just when you felt like everything was against her.
