(KNSI) — All good things must come to an end, and that includes the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s touring life.

The group is bringing its All the Good Times Farewell Tour to The Ledge Amphitheater in Waite Park on September 12th.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band was formed in 1966 and has existed and toured in various forms throughout the years. and really broke through with their cover of Mr. Bojangles in 1970, which peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed on the chart for 36 weeks. Dance Little Jean was a top ten hit on the country charts in 1983. In 1984, the band logged its first number one with Long Hard Road. Modern Day Romance and Fishin in the Dark in 1985 and 1987 also hit the top of the country charts. Fishin in the Dark remained the band’s best-selling single and was certified platinum in 2014. High Horse, Fire in the Sky, and Partners, Brothers and Friends also were quite successful.

The All the Good Times tour is named after the band’s second album. Tickets go on venue presale on April 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. using the code LEDGEGRIT. The general public on sale is at 10:00 a.m. April 19th, and both are through Ticketmaster. The Ledge’s winter box office is also open for business Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. inside the city’s public works building.
