In an exciting evening of music announcements, 97.5 BOB FM unveiled the lineup for the upcoming Bobstock festival during a special event hosted by McDonald Toyota in Fort Morgan on Thursday.
The reveal set the stage for a weekend filled with legendary performances, and Bobstock fans are invited to gather at Glenn Miller Park on Friday, July 12, for a live performance by the Spin Doctors. The festivities continue on Saturday, July 13, with headline band Three Dog Night.
The Spin Doctors are an American rock band from New York City known for their early 1990s hits “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong.” The band is still actively touring, and according to the Spin Doctors Archive, as of March 2022, the official Spin Doctors website lists Chris Barron (lead vocals), Eric Schenkman (guitar and vocals) and Aaron Comess (drums, bass and keyboards). Jack Daley, who started subbing for original bass player Mark Whitein in 2021, appears in band promo pictures. You can visit the Spin Doctors’ official website at https://shop.spindoctors.com/
Three Dog Night is an American rock band formed in 1967 and had 21 Billboard Top 40 hits between 1969 and 1975. They may be best known for their song “Joy to the World,” which is better known for its opening line, “Jeremiah was a bullfrog.” Original band members Michael Allsup and Danny Hutton are now joined by Pat Bautz, Paul Kingery, David Morgan and Howard Laravea. Sales And Marketing Specialist Lindsey Bruntz said that they are excited about a change coming this year. “For many years we have been asked about bringing a different style of music to the event. The 5th stage, added last year by the Club Tap, will feature Latin music and dancing for most of the day on Saturday. We have been working hard on this, and 2024 is the year we are going to make it happen.
“We are very excited about our acts this year,” Bruntz continued. “These are some of the biggest pairs of acts we have ever had. We can’t continue to do this without the community’s support. Every single dollar is raised right here in Morgan County, and we want people to understand that. It is the local businesses that support and keep this going, so it is free. We will continue to do it as long as they support it.”
Bruntz also recognized Cargill, their presenting sponsor, and many other businesses for their generous support. Also a special recognition for Mike Blecha with Kinnon Entertainment, who has been with Bobstock since the first year.
