QUOTE. NOW TO THE WDSU FIRST WARNING WEATHER CLOUD COVER BEHIND US. HERE IS WHAT WE’LL FIND THE NEXT SEVERAL NIGHTS IS HIGHER HUMIDITY IS BACK. KIND OF AN EARLY SUMMER PATTERN. WE GOT TO TALK FOG ISSUES, THE RETURN OF SOME EARLY SEASON HEAT IN OUR NEXT RAIN CHANCE. IT’S ONE STORM SYSTEM REALLY DOMINATING THE US. THIS BROUGHT SEVERE STORMS TO THE MIDWEST AND A NUMBER OF TORNADOES SPOTTED TODAY, AND WEAKER AND TORNADOES. WHAT THEY APPEAR TO BE. THERE’S THE SYSTEM SPINNING. WE CAN DEFINITELY SEE ALL THE CLOUD COVER THAT IS JUST RIGHT HERE SHOWING YOU STREAMING IN WITH THE MORE HIGHER HUMIDITY. TAPPING IN FROM THE GULF. LET’S TAKE US BACK CLOSER TO HOME AND WE’LL GET TO OUR REAL TIME TEMPERATURES AND SEE WHERE WE ARE. WE’RE ALL INTO THE 70S RIGHT NOW, AND WE’RE NOT GOING TO GO TOO MUCH FURTHER FROM HERE. SHOW YOU THE NORTH SHORE TEMPS A LITTLE BIT EARLIER. WE MAY ONLY GO TO AS LOW AS 70 IN MANY SPOTS, BUT THAT’S GOING TO BE CLOSER TO LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN. I WILL TAKE US DOWN TO SOME MID 60S A LITTLE FARTHER NORTH. DEW POINTS ARE UP. THAT’S OUR BEST MEASURE OF HUMIDITY. AND WHEN WE HIT 70, IT’S PRETTY HUMID FOR US. MIDDLE OF SUMMER WE CAN BE EASILY 7075 ON ANY GIVEN DAY. IT’S A LITTLE BREEZY TODAY. SOUTHEAST WINDS AT ABOUT 10 TO 15, SO THAT’S THE HERE AND NOW. HERE’S THE SYSTEM YET AGAIN I’M POINTING OUT TO THE MIDWEST DRAPING THE COLD FRONT RIGHT NOW. WE’VE GOTTEN RID OF ALL THE SEVERE WEATHER WATCHES, WHICH IS GOOD. BUT THE BUBBLE OF WARMTH THERE, WARM AND HUMID DAYS THAT HAVE PLOPPED RIGHT OVER US STILL HERE TO STAY UNTIL WE CAN GET A STORM SYSTEM WORN THE NEXT WEEK TO START TO CHARGE INTO THAT BUBBLE OF HEAT AND START TO COOL US DOWN. FINALLY BRINGING ANOTHER SPRING FRONT SO WE’RE NOT COMPLETELY DONE WITH OUR SPRING SEASON JUST YET. NOW FOG POTENTIAL. TOMORROW MORNING, THERE IS A CHANCE WE GET SOME PATCHY FOG RIGHT AROUND THE PEARL RIVER TOMORROW MORNING. AND THERE’S THE 66 BOGALUSA. LET’S TAKE TANGIPAHOA TO 67. AND I GOT 70 HERE IN NEW ORLEANS TO 69. IN GALLIANO CLOUD CAST TOMORROW DOES APPEAR. WE’RE GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER LAYER OF EVEN THICKER CLOUDS, A LITTLE SUN. WE HIT 84 FOR THE HIGH TODAY. TAKE US DOWN TO ABOUT. 83, 82 EVERY OPPORTUNITY. WE COULD BE 81 OR 80, EVEN WITH THICKER CLOUDS. BUT ANY AMOUNT OF SUN GETS US INTO THE LOWER 80S AS THE 84 WE DID. AND JUST A QUICK LOOK AT OUR RECREATIONAL BOATING FORECAST. FISHING. OR IF YOU WANT TO GET ON THE LAKE OR IN THE GULF, WE WILL HAVE SOME WINDS UP TO TEN KNOTS AND A LITTLE BIT OF CHOP. SO BEWARE. AND THE TIDAL RANGE IS STARTING TO CONTRACT. MAYBE NOT SOME OF THE BEST FOR THOSE TRYING TO CATCH SOME OF THOSE FISH THAT ARE GOING OFFSHORE. AS WE LOOK AT THE FOG FORECAST INTO THURSDAY, THERE’S A CHANCE HERE. IT’S A LITTLE BIT MORE DENSE AND A LITTLE BIT MORE WIDESPREAD. BUT AGAIN, WE DON’T SEE LIMITED VISIBILITY EVERYWHERE, WHICH IS THE TELLTALE SIGN THAT WE’VE GOT A LOT OF DENSE FOG. BUT GIVE IT A COUPLE EXTRA MINUTES ON THURSDAY. YOUR CLOUD CAST HERE STILL CALLS FOR A CLOUDY DAY, A LITTLE BIT MORE SUN TO SHINE THROUGH, AND I’LL TAKE US UP TO 84. SO YOU SEE THE GOING FORECAST HERE. ANOTHER ROUND OF FOG GOING INTO FRIDAY. DOES IT LOOK TOO BAD. BUT JUST WANT TO MENTION IT’S PATCHY FOG. WATCH WHAT HAPPENS IN THE CLOUD CAST FRIDAY. WE COULD GET RID OF THE CLOUDS. HAVE A BEAUTIFUL BRIGHT SUNNY DAY, BUT THAT TAKES TEMPERATURES WAY UP IN SOME IN THE NORTH SHORE. COULD BE COMING CLOSE TO 90. OUR RECORD HIGH IS 90, SET IN 1987, AND ALSO THE RECORD HIGH IN BATON ROUGE IS 90 SET IN 2006. SO WE COULD BE NEAR THERE IN OUR FIRST HOT DAY IF WE GET ALL THAT SUNSHINE. BUT HERE’S THE DEAL WITH THE WEEKEND FRONT STARTS TO FADE AND IT COMES BACK AS A WARM FRONT. FIRST CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND STORMS BY MORE LATE AFTERNOON EVENING, BUT IT’S MORE INTO SUNDAY THAT’S GOING TO BE THE LIKELIER RAIN. DAY IS THE SECONDARY SYSTEM RUNS INTO ALL THAT HEAT AND HUMIDITY, BUT IT IS GOING TO BRING US DOWN WITH DRIER AIR AND COOLER AIR. UNFORTUNATELY, AFTER THE WEEKEND, WDSU FIRST WARNING WEATHER. WE’RE LOOKING AT 83 TOMORROW, 84 ON THURSDAY. POSSIBLE HOT D

Warm and humid days continue, but morning fog could become an issue later on this week, and our first hot day of the year could make an early surprise before our next likeliest round of rain returns in your New Orleans weather forecast. Mild nights and mild and humid mornings will round out the week. I don't see fog being a big issue just yet. Morning lows will range from around 65 to 73.I'm expecting even more clouds on Wednesday and that could hold highs down closer to 80. I still think a little sun could get us close to 83 in New Orleans. Thursday morning is showing signs for possible thicker fog. Make sure to add a few minutes to your morning routine just in case!Look for another mostly cloudy, warm and humid day after the fog burns off.Look for more, morning fog on Friday, then... if we get a ton of sun that's currently being forecast by our high resolution data, then we could get close to our record high of 90 set in 1987!A warm front will near on Saturday that will bring our first shot at another round of showers and storms.Sunday is when our next likeliest round of showers and storms return.Drier and cooler air drops in next week with the return of some more nice, spring days... that will become fewer and fewer over the next coming weeks! Here's your seven day forecast:Be safe, and have a nice night!- Devon
