GAYLORD, MI – A Northern Michigan town known for its Alpine Village has announced the lineup for its outdoor summer concert series.
The Downtown Gaylord Summer Concert Series 2024 will feature 15 free concerts with an array of local and national artists.
“Get ready to groove your way into the weekend all summer long! Our outdoor summer music series in Gaylord will be happening every Friday night,” the Gaylord Tourism Bureau said in its announcement. “If you think you’ll need a break from dancing, don’t forget to BYOC (bring your own chair).
Every concert is scheduled for 7-10 p.m. Fridays at Claude Shannon Park, 126 W. Main St. in Gaylord. There is a concert almost every Friday from May 12-Aug. 25, with the exception of Alpenfest weekend, July 12. In cases of bad weather, concerts will move to the park pavilion.
“I love seeing our downtown really come to life each Friday night,” Christy Walcott, Gaylord Tourism spokesperson told MLive. “Not only are people enjoying the concert, but also our social district, shops and local restaurants. These free concerts create such a welcoming vibe where everyone can relax and enjoy our downtown Alpine Village.”
