Vance Walberg was formally introduced as the new Fresno State men's basketball head coach on Friday, April 12th.

Sports Reporter Gabe Camarillo spoke with Walberg about what Bulldog fans should expect from his style of play, how it will attract transfers, and why his dribble-drive offense connects him with big coaching names like Arkansas' John Calipari and Alabama's Nate Oats.

He spent the last eight seasons as head boys' basketball coach at Clovis West, part of 21 years total at the high school.

He also led the Fresno City College men's program from 2002 to 2006, including a state championship run, and Pepperdine from 2006 to 2008.

He built his Fresno State coaching staff with former Kentucky assistant John Welch, who worked with Walberg during the latter's four seasons of NBA coaching experience, and Hoover High basketball Hall of Famer Ray Barefield.
