With the weather finally heating up, those lucky enough to have gardens are sure to be preparing for summer days spent outside.

But with garden furniture often costing an arm and a leg, one woman was left thrilled when she found a stunning second-hand set, that looked as good as new, in a charity shop.

Savvy shopper Lauren Michelle was left thrilled when browsing in her local charity shop when she spotted the mega deal - an outside table with matching six chairs.

Thrilled with her find, which cost her a total of just £40 (yes, you heard that correctly), the bargain hunter took to social media to alert other shoppers, leaving many open-mouthed.

Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, a private Facebook group with 2.4 million members, Lauren shared snaps of her garden furniture set and penned: “I rarely get a bargain but this one I had to share….

“£40 from our local charity shop!!”

Lauren confirmed that she nabbed the stunning rattan table and six chairs from a St David’s Hospice charity shop.

St David’s Hospice has a network of 18 shops across North West Wales, selling good quality second-hand clothing, pre-loved items and furniture.

With a typical glass-topped table and six chair garden set costing anywhere from £295 up to over £1,000, for just £40, this garden set is a total steal.

Working out at just £5.70 each item, it’s no surprise that Lauren was left thrilled with her finds.
