Republican U.S. Senate candidate Eric Hovde has received an endorsement from former President Donald Trump in his race against Democratic incumbent Tammy Baldwin."Where's Eric? Eric, good job, man, I tell you," Trump said. "Eric, I am giving you my complete and total endorsement, so go out and win. Go out and win, you better win." The endorsement came Tuesday during a Trump rally in Green Bay. During the Green Bay rally, Trump once again falsely claimed that he won Wisconsin in the 2020 election. He lost to Joe Biden by fewer than 21,000 votes.Hovde was in Milwaukee Thursday, meeting with several business and community leaders. When asked about Trump's false claims regarding the 2020 election, Hovde responded, "Look, I'm not here to litigate 2020. I'm running in 2024. I'm running for the U.S. Senate, but I do say, we have to get confidence back in our election system."When pressed further about his confidence in the election system, Hovde said, "Look, is there concerns? Yes, of course, but again, I don't want to spend my time talking about 2020. I'm talking about 2024."The race for the U.S. Senate seat in Wisconsin is expected to be tight. A recent poll conducted by Emerson College last month showed Baldwin leading with 45% to Hovde's 42%.

The endorsement came Tuesday during a Trump rally in Green Bay.

During the Green Bay rally, Trump once again falsely claimed that he won Wisconsin in the 2020 election. He lost to Joe Biden by fewer than 21,000 votes.

Hovde was in Milwaukee Thursday, meeting with several business and community leaders.

When asked about Trump's false claims regarding the 2020 election, Hovde responded, "Look, I'm not here to litigate 2020. I'm running in 2024. I'm running for the U.S. Senate, but I do say, we have to get confidence back in our election system."

The race for the U.S. Senate seat in Wisconsin is expected to be tight.
