Southwest Power Pool issues resource advisory, energy conservation not required

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Southwest Power Pool issued a resource advisory for its entire Balancing Authority effective Wednesday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The resource advisory does not require the public to conserve energy, however, it helps raise awareness about potential threats to reliability.

There may be planned resource outages from high peak loads driven by unseasonably warm temperatures.
