Bernd H Thank god I live in a time to experience a season like this. Excellent writing and acting. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/24 Full Review kamal p This is the best season of any tv show on the planet and you cant disagree with me it has the right amount of everything Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/24 Full Review Skya M Ghost Rider Go Brrr. My Favorite season out of all. I love all the season but Season 4 is so great. The Season being divided into 3 major themes or parts makes it so much better. I loved Ghost Rider and Agents of Hydra so much. Mallory Jansen was great, maybe one of the best villain's on this show, even better than Brett Dalton. Everyone else was great too Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/28/23 Full Review Lance B Season 4 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is the best season yet, with the season's darker tone combining well with the introduction of Ghost Rider. Gabriel Luna does a fantastic job playing Ghost Rider, doing an excellent job of selling his tortured past along with being a cool addition to the cast for this season. Early in the season, Ghost Rider complements Daisy well, with Daisy's guilt from the events of Season 3 getting Season 4 off to a darker, edgier start. Elias Morrow is a terrifying early season villain, with clear motivations of feeling beaten down by society making him a more believable villain. In the middle of the season, Radcliffe provides an interesting villain as a mad scientist who thinks he's saving the world, which John Hannah plays very well. During this part of the season, the team is also dealing with the Inhuman hate group called the Watchdogs, which allows for poignant social commentary about people being treated differently for arbitrary characteristics, contributing to the more mature theme of the season. The last third of the season, with Aida as the main villain, is the best part of the season, and one of the best parts of Agents of SHIELD as a whole. The idea of an simulated reality is very interesting, with Agents of SHIELD's Framework pulling off the idea in thoroughly entertaining fashion. The show utilizes this idea to its fullest, bringing back previously dead characters in Ward and Trip and using theme very effectively. Trip is as great as ever, with his winning personality and consistently funny humor, while the simulated Ward does an excellent job of redeeming his character, showing how Ward could have been truly good, if Garrett hadn't turned him rotten. This, combined with evil Fitz, show how people can be molded by their surroundings for good or for bad. The final episode in the Framework, Episode 20, is the absolute best episode of the season, with Mack's refusal to return to the real world being incredibly emotional and sad, but ultimately logical given how much he cares about Hope, which previous episodes make abundantly clear. Aida is an excellent villain. When she's just an android, her motivations of wanting to live are incredibly clear and logical, and when she finally becomes human, the rush of emotions flooding her drives her insane, with her newfound powers making her a force to be reckoned, one that can only be stopped with the entire team working together. The season ends on a cliffhanger, leaving viewers excited for season 5 and intrigued as to what Robbie is getting up to. Overall, easily the best season of Agents of SHIELD yet, and ultimately second only to season 7! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/22/23 Full Review Levi L It was amazing!! Overall emotional roller-coaster and just incredible. Everybody involved in the season made it perfect! From season 1 it is incredible to see how the characters grow and change. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/21/23 Full Review rj Chloe Bennet is one of the best actresses out there and really shows her potential off in season 4 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Nick Ross Observer It doesn't disappoint. Sep 21, 2016 Full Review Alex McLevy AV Club It's unclear how Ghost Rider will factor in to all this, but the bigger bad guy right now is something much more mundane: It's the paranoid regulations and stifling conditions of a new, accountable S.H.I.E.L.D. organization. Rated: B Sep 21, 2016 Full Review Scott Meslow New York Magazine/Vulture While Robbie's tightrope walk between good and evil isn't subtle, it is a hopeful sign that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. might infuse all this grim maturity with some genuine shades of gray. Rated: 3/5 Sep 21, 2016 Full Review Danny Hale Flickering Myth Well that's it, season 4 is over and, for me, without a doubt ends the strongest season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to date. And with the recent confirmation of a fifth season the thoughts of where this show will be taken is extremely exhilarating. Apr 6, 2020 Full Review Charles Dulaney Tell-Tale TV Overall, it's a really solid premiere episode of Agents of SHIELD in its new time slot. "The Ghost" lets a lot of new story arcs begin and shows off the new darker, harder side of the show. Rated: 4/5 Apr 6, 2020 Full Review Kaitlyn Booth Bleeding Cool Despite a few missteps along the way, they were minor compared to everything else that was going on.
