Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi on attempting to qualify for a second season in Europe: "In terms of our target, we want to improve our place in the table. Last season is history, this season is completely different. I think we have the quality to reach the European position but there are a lot of teams from Fulham to Manchester United who could reach the position.

"For sure, we have the ambition and I am positive because I believe in my players, and I know their human qualities. They will be emotional games [against rivals for European football] and it’s nice to compete against Arsenal, Newcastle, Manchester United… but we are focussed on our target."

Ansu Fati and Valentin Barco return to the Brighton squad for Saturday's visit of title-chasers Arsenal after missing Wednesday's goalless draw at Brentford.

But Adam Webster and Evan Ferguson are not available.

Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi was asked about 19-year-old striker Ferguson's long-term future at the club.

He said: "Well, I don’t know the plan of next year or next season, but Ferguson is still an important player for us.

"He’s very young and when you are so young you can suffer in some periods and in others play well. Because in the first part of the season he scored a lot of goals, and we knew before the season he could play not all the games in the first XI, but we are happy for him and lucky that we have a lot of young players of this level.

"Facundo Buonanotte is the same, Julio Enciso is playing a tough period because after injuries it’s always difficult to recover to the best physical condition. But we are Brighton and we accept everything.”

A final word from Luton Town manager Rob Edwards on Saturday's opponents Bournemouth: "Andoni Iraola has done an amazing job, along with the staff and the players. I wish them massive congratulations because they have been brilliant this year. They had a difficult start but they have done really well to get to where they are in the league.

"They play the way he has played before in Spain and it suits the players he has got. He hasn’t asked them to do anything they cannot do, which is intelligent coaching. They have very good attacking players and he is getting the best out of them.

"It is not going to be easy but we know we can win. We can take some confidence from things we did well in the reverse fixture and learn from things we didn’t.

"The one thing we can control is our performance level. I want to see the players playing with their hearts on their sleeve. I would take a poor performance and win, but we have a better chance of winning if we perform well."

On survival hopes, Luton Town manager Rob Edwards said: "We know that as difficult as it will be, a win tomorrow would put us in a fantastic position. We’ve been really focusing on this game because it can give us more belief and confidence. Three points at this stage would be really important.

"The pressure is inevitable and we have to deal with that. We have dealt with high pressure situations before so we are capable of doing it. The players know what these last seven games mean and they have accepted the pressure.

"We have to do our job. It obviously matters what happens elsewhere, but we have to do our job and try and control our destiny. What will be will be away from that."

On the importance of having four home games in their remaining seven matches, Luton Town manager Rob Edwards said: "They are all important but especially the games at home, so we do have to view them as cup finals.

"The supporters will pay a huge part and they know that. They have been brilliant all season long and they were amazing on Wednesday night. That gave me and the lads a lot of belief. Going over at full-time was great because they could see second half a team that kept going and fighting for a goal. They were proud of their team.

"We will need each other over the next few games and they understand the role that they can play for us as well."

Luton Town manager Rob Edwards started his news conference by giving an update on team news. He is "hopeful" Reece Burke will be available to play against Bournemouth but they will assess him today

Midfielder Sambi Lokonga remains sidelined but is "pushing" to return for the Brentford game on 20 April.

Elijah Adebayo and Chieo Ogbene "are progressing" but need longer.

On whether he will be forced to rush them back to help them fight relegation, Edwards said: "It is not on my mind right now and it is something the players would have to buy into as well because it is their bodies. They are really keen to push and they are.

"It will be rational and educated risks, but we will see when we get to the latter stage of the season. The lads want to be back to help."

Unai Emery is trying to guide Villa to their best finish since 1997, when they finished fifth in the Premier League.

They have an 11-point lead over Manchester United in sixth and are two points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham, although Spurs have a game in hand.

Emery said: "We are trying to increase our level and trying to feel comfortable being inside the top seven teams.

"To keep it is the most difficult and challenging thing we have now. We are going to focus on each match and on the three points we are going to face. We need to respect the opponent - it is very difficult, the Premier League.

"We have an opportunity to rise and be a contender more than we were before."

It was a fiery game at Brentford in December with Ben Mee and Boubacar Kamara sent off and Neal Maupay and Emi Martinez involved in a confrontation.

Six players were booked for Brentford, four for Villa, and both managers were cautioned with the clubs also fined a combined £355,000 by the Football Association after two melees.

Villa snatched a late 2-1 win thanks to Ollie Watkins' goal and Unai Emery has played down any lingering bad blood between the teams.

He said: “It’s different circumstances, tomorrow we are at home, although there are the same players and coaches.

"We want to play thinking about our game plan, respecting Brentford at lot because they are a very good team. We are ready and trying to focus on our game plan completely.”

Nuno Espirito Santo on the reaction since Nottingham Forest's points deduction, after managing to recoup those four points in just two games: "It was a good reaction. They were two good games. Especially in this last one [against Fulham], I think we did things really well. But, we still have a long way to go and a lot of improvements to be made."

On getting the best out of his key players, such as Morgan Gibbs-White, he added: "This is our major challenge that we have ahead of us - trying to sustain our performance and the standards that we have made. This is what we are looking to try and repeat."

Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo is expecting a "hard" test against Tottenham, as the Reds search for just their third Premier League away win of the season: "It will be very hard, not only because of us but because we are going to face a very good team. Spurs is a team full of great talented players, a very good manager, and they are in a good moment. So it is going to be hard. I think they are a very good team. They are doing exceptionally."

There are no fresh injuries ahead of Sunday's match at Tottenham, but Nuno Espirito Santo provided updates on longer-term absentees Willy Boly and Taiwo Awoniyi.

He confirmed that Boly is "still out" and "still on treatment". There is still no "exact moment" for Awoniyi's return and he is "still treating himself".

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo makes his first return to Tottenham since his brief spell in charge in 2021.

Nuno lasted just 17 games, winning eight, when he eventually succeeded Jose Mourinho after a chaotic managerial search.

He will hope for a happier time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday but needs to cure Forest’s travel sickness.

They have not won on the road in the Premier League since a 3-1 victory at Newcastle on 26 December – Nuno’s first game in charge – which has contributed to their failure to pull away from danger.
