Good morning, folks!

Starting the morning with temps in the 50s and 40s across the High Plains. For today, we should see very warm temps and occasionally breezy conditions in the Texas Panhandle. Winds however will increase overnight as a cold front moves in. Gusts up to 40 mph along that front. For today, temps will increase into the 80s with plenty of sunshine. Fire dangers will favor the far northwest. Looking ahead into the next seven days, cooler weather is on the way. A stronger cold front is expected overnight as I just mentioned and into Thursday. That will drop temps by the end of the week and into the weekend. Our rain potential will even increase for Saturday and Sunday as showers look possible with some embedded thunderstorms. Rain will move out by Sunday afternoon. As of this morning, rain will favor areas to the south and southeast with the potential of a quarter of an inch of rainfall.
