World-renowned rapper E-40 described the experience many experienced at the Pebble Beach Food and Wine.“Good food, nice people, good wine,” he said. From dishes like ceviche, lamb chops and cheeses to freshly made Italian food, it's an experience that leaves a lasting impression.“You just walk in and there's an inordinate amount of people and then when you start walking around, you're just in awe of everything available here,” Carmel resident Don Tuck said. “If you love food and wine, this is the place to be.”Chefs from all around the country use this opportunity to showcase their amazing food. Famous chef Geoffrey Zakarian, from the hit TV show "Chopped," couldn't have said it better.“All the great chefs here, and the event isn't even big enough for all the chefs in California because there's so many great chefs,” Zakarian said.Jeff Trees, who recently received the key to his city for his food, came down from Las Vegas to showcase his award-winning Italian cuisine. “To be here and be named a main chef is a huge accomplishment for my entire career, so it's a huge accomplishment for my entire career, and it's nice to see all these smiling faces and make people happy,” Trees said.With all the amazing food in the building, the wine was just as popular, and there was no shortage of it.“There’s beautiful golf, beautiful weather; it's just a magical place to hold a wine event. We're super excited to be here,” said Heather McCarthy with Rombauer Vineyards.This is E-40's first Pebble Beach Food and Wine. Since he has his own wine, this event was necessary for his venture into the industry.“The proof is in the juice, so people can say whatever they say about what they like, but if the juice ain't right, it ain't right,” he said.There is a host of events going on throughout the weekend, with it all wrapping up on Sunday.
