The New York State Fair is adding “country music’s next big thing” to its 2024 concert lineup.

Rising country singer-songwriter RVSHVD will perform at the NYS Fair’s Chevy Court stage on Thursday, Aug. 22, at 1 p.m. The concert is free with admission to the Fair.

RVSHVD (pronounced “Ra-Shad”) is a Georgia native best known for his 2020 country version of Roddy Ricch’s rap song “Ballin,” which went viral with more than 25 million streams across Spotify, TikTok, Apple and YouTube. His songs also include “Colt 45 (Country Remix)” with Cooper Alan, “Shoebox Money,” and a remix of Trey Lewis’ “D--ked Down in Dallas”; a new EP featuring collaborations with Ice Nine Kills, Asking Alexandria’s Danny Worsnop and rapper Paul Wall is due to be released April 19.

This will be the first appearance at the Fair for RSVHVD, who has been named an “Artist to Watch 2024″ by CMT and “Country Rookie of the Month” by Billboard.

“We’re excited to welcome country sensation RVSHVD to The Great New York State Fair this year,” said Interim Director Julie LaFave. “As country music’s next big thing, his signature blend of old and new is sure to delight our Chevy Court audiences and we can’t wait to see him take the stage.”

More than 15 concerts have been announced so far for the NYS Fair’s 2024 lineup, which will feature 39 total acts. Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

The 2024 New York State Fair will run from Aug. 21 through Sept. 2. National acts are expected to perform daily on the fair’s main stages; shows at Chevy Court will take place at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., while the larger Suburban Park will feature shows at 8 p.m. (There will be no afternoon shows at Suburban Park this year.)
