Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday launched a blistering attack on PM Modi and said that central agencies are not personal properties of the Prime Minister. He also alleged that the BJP was systematically attacking the democratic structure of the country.

Hitting out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an election rally in Coimbatore together with DMK President MK Stalin, Rahul Gandhi said, "The BJP clearly says they will change the constitution. They are systematically attacking the democratic structure. The central agencies are not the personal property of PM Modi. They belong to the people of India. The Prime Minister has no right to treat the agencies the way he does".

The Gandhi scion further said that most institutions in India have been "infiltrated by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)".

"India’s institutions belong to people, they don’t belong to the RSS. Most Vice Chancellors who are defining the way we educate our children are from the RSS. The bureaucracy, the legal system, the Election Commission are all being infiltrated by members from the RSS. This is an attack on the very idea of our nation. It’s an attack on the Union of India," he said.

The Congress leader said that the upcoming Lok Sabha election is an "ideological battle".

"We are going to carry out a caste census and economic and assets survey of the country so that we know the actual condition of social justice in India today," Rahul Gandhi said.

"This is no longer a normal election. It’s an ideological battle. The rights of Tamil people and our country, their histories, their languages and their way of life is protected by the Constitution. It is not an ordinary book. It’s the soul and voice of Indian people," he said.

"Soon a storm is going to come to India and Narendra Modi will be ejected from the government," he added.
