Britney Spears was in a reminiscing mood on Thursday.
The pop superstar, 42, shared a since-deleted throwback clip of her dancing with and kissing her ex-husband Sam Asghari, 30, to her Instagram.
She also wrote a lengthy caption where she discussed loving 'too much' and being 'too sensitive in most situations.'
Asghari was shirtless in the clip, while the Hit Me Baby One More Time hitmaker showed off her toned midriff in a black crop top and tiny white shorts as they performed a couple of dance moves together before going in for a smooch.
It comes eight months after the Iranian model and fitness trailer filed for divorce from Spears, choosing to end their 14-month marriage, which was said to have descended into a dark and desperate state in its final weeks.

In her caption Britney explained that she speaks about her past in order to 'protect' herself for making 'the same mistakes as before.'
She also said, 'I used to be told all the time by someone I truly loved that there is no looking at that face of yours.'
'My hopes in sharing is that by remembering that I can try and understand why I never feel good enough and to know it's ok to get inside my brain try to figure it out…'
She did not clarify who had made that remark to her.
Britney's full caption read: 'The time he picked me up … It's weird cause there are always strange turns for relationships with friends family or your loved ones in the [roller coaster emoji] of any journey you're on with someone !!!'
She went on: 'Looking back is hard sometimes but it's honestly crucial … I'm honestly too sensitive in most situations.'
'I speak about my past sometimes because I want to protect myself from the same mistakes as before !!! What I usually do if I'm going through too much is shut down but I sometimes lose the ability to figure out what's going on or how I feel at all !!!'
She added, 'Sometimes I'm scared to feel anything cause I know I'm too sensitive … being numb is the worst I think but there's safety in that cause I feel like I'm subconsciously protecting myself from feeling any importance at all !!!'
'It's tricky cause that's what people can take advantage of. We are such complicated sensitive people. It felt so much easier when I was younger cause I feel like I trusted people more and I hadn't experienced the cruelness of the world yet.'

The pair were married for 14 months after tying the known in Los Angeles in June 2022.
They met when she was shooting the music video for Slumber Party in 2016. They dated for six years before saying 'I do'. However the pair called it quits in August 2023.
In August sources told DailyMail.com how Asghari thought he could 'save her', only to realize after 14 months of marriage that there may well be no chance of ever 'saving Britney.'
'The reality of life with Britney was that it was not fun and it's not a surprise at all that the marriage didn't last,' the insider shared.
'She is a damaged person and although she talks a lot about being a strong independent woman she remains damaged. It's very sad. Sam's a nice guy and I hear that he tried.'
Asghari cited 'irreconcilable differences' when he filed for divorce from the singer — as sources claim that he felt he couldn't leave Spears alone.

In November, it was reported she and Asghari had a 'cordial' relationship and she was paying around $10,000 per month for him to live in a high-rise apartment in Los Angeles.
Last month Sam said he bears no grudge towards his former partner, even though he was the one who filed for divorce.
'It was a blessing to be able to share life with someone for a long time. And people grow apart and people move on,' he told People.
'I never understood when people part ways [and] they talk badly about each other,' he continued. 'That's something I'm never going to do because I had nothing but an amazing experience and a great life.'
Back in August, Sam broke his silence after filing for divorce by taking to his Instagram with an emotional message.
'After six years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,' he wrote.
He continued: 'We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always,' adding: 'S**t happens.'
When Britney addressed the end of their 14-month marriage for the first time in August, she told her 42.1 Instagram followers that she was 'a little shocked.'

'I couldn't take the pain anymore honestly!!!' she captioned a video of herself dancing in her living room.
She continued: 'I've been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it's far from reality and I think we all know that!!!'

The settlement for their divorce will reportedly have a significant settlement for Sam, as per TMZ. According to the sources, the settlement is expected to be in the low six figures.
The majority of Britney's relationship with Sam coincided with her conservatorship, which lasted from February 2008 to November 2021.
