UPDATE: The body of the person who went missing on Neely Henry Lake Thursday was recovered by Pell City Dive Team members around 3 p.m. Sunday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The person was identified as Mark C. Magouirk, 62, of Anniston. He was found about 20 feet from where he went missing near the Lakeshore Marina.

Authorities believe Magouirk fell into the water while fishing near the marina. Several agencies assisted with the search and recovery efforts. The ALEA is investigating.

ORIGINAL: Police searching for missing person in Neal Henry Lake in Calhoun County

CALHOUN COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — Authorities are searching for a missing person after a marine-related incident occurred Thursday night.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, troopers responded to the 100 block of Lake Shore Lane in Ohatchee around 9:30 p.m. Thursday regarding reports someone may have fallen into Neely Henry Lake.

Troopers with the ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division will provide updates.
