Pedestrian struck, killed by driver on County Line Road

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed on Indianapolis’ southside Monday evening.

The Indianapolis Metropolitian Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 4600 block of E. County Line Road around 10 p.m. Monday night. Indianapolis EMS responded and transported the pedestrian, an adult male, to an area hospital, police said.

The adult male was pronounced deceased at the hospital. His identity has not yet been released by the Marion County Coroner’s Office.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. An IMPD fatal crash team will lead the investigation, a police spokesperson said.
