One bargain hunter was left thrilled when browsing the aisles in her local Primark, when she spotted a brilliant perfume dupe.

Thrilled with her find, the savvy shopper took to social media to alert others to the reasonably-priced buy.

Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, a private Facebook group with 2.4 million members, Karen Wright shared a snap of her purchase, alongside a Tom Ford perfume, and beamed: “Absolute BARGAIN in my opinion!”

She then added: “£6 down to £3 in Primark.

“Smells no different to the Tom Ford version.

“May not last as long but who cares for £3?!”

Primark’s Citron Aqua eau de toilette scent will be sure to turn heads and leave you smelling super fresh this spring.

It offers a light and refreshing fragrance that’s perfect for daily wear and date night alike.

According to Karen, the cheap buy, which has now been reduced by 50% and is scanning at tills at just £3, is strikingly similar in scent to the Tom Ford Neroli Portofino eau de parfum.

Described as 'vibrant, effervescent and transportive’, this posh buy is inspired by the sensory delights of the Italian Riviera, and contains scents of citrus fruit, neroli, orange flower and lavender, as well as amber and aromatic rosemary.

I work in Primark's beauty section - the £2 product that revolutionises lashes & the shower gel set to become iconic

But with a 50ml bottle costing a whopping £220, this Primark buy will save you a staggering £217 (yes, you heard that correctly).

And less than the price of an average Starbucks order, we think this high-street buy is an affordable alternative that you won’t want to miss.

Primark's history

IT'S the chain that we all love - but do you actually know the history of Primark?

Primark first opened in 1969 as Pennies in Dublin, hoping to provide affordable fashion in Ireland.

A Primark store officially opened as Primark in 1974 in Derby.

The retailer now has 193 stores across the UK and 441 stores worldwide with a goal of running 530 stores by the end of 2026.

But you'll need to move fast if you want to get your hands on this reduced find - as the perfumes are available in store online and are while stocks last.

Karen’s post was shared just one day ago, but has clearly impressed many, as bargain hunters were keen to share their thoughts in the comments.

The Best Place To Buy Perfume Dupes

ABIGAIL Wilson, a perfume lover and Senior Digital Writer at Fabulous, has revealed the best places to buy perfume dupes.

M&S: Not only is M&S great for food, as well as clothes, they also have a brilliant range of dupes too.

We recently saw shoppers go wild for the M&S Warm Neroli, that is said to spell like Paco Rabanne's classic Lady Million, except it's £50 cheaper.

The M&S zesty scent is just £6 per 30ml while the Paco Rabanne is £56.

ALDI: Not only do Aldi stock a range of dupe buys, but their perfume dupes are real winners too.

The new Lacura Empress Eau de Parfum costs just £5.99 per 20ml.

And shoppers have compared it to Paco Rabanne's Olympea which is £77.60 per 80ml.

SUPERDRUG: When you next pop into Superdrug to stock up your beauty bag, don't forget to check out their fresh dupe scents.

And particularly if you can't afford to splash the cash on posh perfumes, you'll need to look for the chain's Layering Lab range.

Whilst 90ml of Alien perfume will set you back £125, the Layering Lab Blossom dupe smells incredibly similar, for only £3.99.

PRIMARK: As well as fabulous clothes and cheap shoes, the beauty section in Primark is very impressive too.

Primark's Vive La Vie scent is said to be a dupe for La Vie Est Belle, but shoppers recently compared it to Gucci’s Flora.

The Primark dupe is just £6 whilst Gucci Flora is £54.40 per 30ml from Boots.

One person said: “I’ll keep on the lookout.”

Another added: “Everywhere is jumping on the Tom Ford duped aren’t they.”
