Police searching for suspect after brief standoff in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Police are searching for a suspect after a brief standoff in Oklahoma City Tuesday morning.

According to Oklahoma City Police, the incident began when a man broke into his former girlfriend’s home through a dog door. Once inside, he barricaded himself and allegedly threatened to set the house on fire.

Officials say officers entered the home around 4 a.m. and discovered the suspect was no longer there and the house was empty.

Police are still searching for the suspect as the investigation continues.
