A 30-year-old woman lost her life after becoming ensnared in machinery.

The incident took place around 11:30am on Wednesday, April 10, at Carolina Cotton Works in Gaffney, according to People.

Identified as Brianna Danielle Coyle, the worker was pronounced dead shortly before 1pm after being found trapped by colleagues and rushed to Cherokee Medical Center.

She worked at Carolina Cotton Works in Gaffney, South Carolina. Carolina Cotton Works, established in 1995, is known for manufacturing medical gowns, mask fabrics, flame-retardant workwear, military apparel, and auto interior fabric.

Co-workers found Coyle trapped in the machine and rushed her to Cherokee Medical Center. Sadly, she was pronounced dead shortly before 1 PM.

“Witnesses reported Coyle became trapped at the machine where she was working," Fowler told NBC affiliate WYFF-TV. "She was found by co-workers and transported to Cherokee Medical Center for treatment."

"We had a tragic accident at CCW today," said a company spokesperson.  "Unfortunately, one of our employees has passed away. We are deeply saddened and are cooperating with the proper authorities as we conduct our investigation."

Further details are awaited as neither the Cherokee County Coroner nor Carolina Cotton Works have responded to requests for additional information.
