When Paula McTune Jones entered Mississippi Magazine’s recipe contest in 2011, she set in motion a process that has led her to become a highly successful independent food blogger.

More important than any prizes, winning the contest gave her the confidence to take what she already knew how to do and learn to share it with the world. Much like the recipes she develops, though, it’s a process that didn’t just come along and bake itself.
