Raquel Welch in marriage split

Raquel Welch has broken up with her fourth husband Richard Palmer after four years of marriage.

The 62-year-old screen legend's publicist Jill Bushinsky, who said she also spoke on behalf of Palmer, said in a statement that no third party was involved in the break-up, which was described as amicable.

Divorce papers had not been filed.

Miss Welch - best known for the 1960s movies One Million Years BC, Bedazzled and Fantastic Voyage - married Palmer, who runs a chain of California pizza restaurants, in Beverly Hills in 1999.

He is 20 years her junior.
