TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) – Some Tupelo Middle School students are getting a hands-on look at the television business.

Tupelo Middle School has launched WTMS to give students a taste of television, letting them not only learn about being on camera but behind the scenes as well.

The teacher, Hallie Underwood, says her class is a favorite among these seventh and eighth graders.

She adds that she hopes this program will give them the boost to move on and learn more about the business in high school, college, and maybe even one day working at WTVA 9 News.

Students just finished their first episode of WTMS and are now working on episode two.
