Which 2024 draft picks have the Jaguars already traded?

The Jacksonville Jaguars are set to pick eight times in the 2024 NFL draft with one pick in every round except the fourth when they have two picks.

While that’s a solid amount of draft capital, helped by the addition of two compensatory selections, the Jaguars have already done some wheeling and dealing that dwindled their list of picks. While none of those deals cost Jacksonville its top two selections, the team swapped out a few picks in the last five rounds to add some veterans.

Here are all three trades the Jaguars made that cost them 2024 NFL draft picks and what they got in return:

Round 3, No. 79 overall

The Jaguars presumably envisioned more than one year of play from Calvin Ridley when they gave up two conditional draft picks for the receiver. Those selections turned out to be 2023 fifth-round and 2024 third-round picks due to the circumstances of Ridley’s reinstatement from suspension and his contract status at the start of free agency this year. In his sole season in Jacksonville, Ridley finished with 1,016 receiving yards and eight touchdowns before signing a $92 million deal with the Titans earlier this month.

Round 6, No. 177 overall

The Jaguars acquired a 2024 sixth-round pick as part of the trade that sent wide receiver Laviska Shenault to the Panthers in 2022. Jacksonville flipped that selection into Ezra Cleveland, acquiring the former Vikings guard in a deal right before the 2023 trade deadline. Cleveland made five starts in his nine games with the Jaguars and re-signed with the team on a three-year, $24 million deal.

Round 6, No. 193 overall

Eric Canha-USA TODAY Sports

The Jaguars ditched another one of their sixth-round picks (they still have another compensatory selection in the round) earlier this month to add former Patriots starting quarterback Mac Jones. The 2021 first-rounder is expected to compete with C.J. Beathard for No. 2 on the depth chart behind Trevor Lawrence, the passer taken 14 picks ahead of Jones three years ago.
