LEADING THE WAY, A BUTLER COUNTY WOMAN ACCUSED OF KILLING HER HUSBAND APPEARS IN COURT. THIS MORNING AS HER DEFENSE TRIES TO GET THE CASE TOSSED OUT. JUST OVER A WEEK AGO, DEPUTIES WERE CALLED TO A HOME IN RILEY TOWNSHIP AND FOUND A MAN DEAD, 65 YEAR OLD PAMELA HARVILLE WAS BROUGHT IN FOR QUESTIONING, BUT WAS SOON CHARGED WITH MURDER. HARVILLE’S DEFENSE FILED A PLEA OF NOT GUILTY BY REASON OF INSANITY. A JUDGE SAYS IT WILL TAKE WEEKS TO HAVE HER COMPETENCY DETERMINED. HE ORDERED HARVILLE TO BE HELD WITHOUT BOND. A Butler County woman has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity after being charged in the death of her husband.The sheriff's office said deputies conducted a welfare check at her home in Reily Township, and when they arrived, they found a man who was dead.According to court documents, Harville is accused of causing the death of the man, identified by documents as her husband. Palemla Harville, 65, pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. Her defense is requesting a competency evaluation, which normally takes six weeks to complete. Harville is being held without bond until her competency is determined.Her next court date is on May 21 for a hearing on the status of competency.
