OKC Thunder center Bismack Biyombo says 'there's nothing to worry about' after fainting

Thunder center Bismack Biyombo took to social media on Thursday to say he's "good" after collapsing during a game against Portland on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old center said he fainted due to dehydration, but he has since cleared all medical tests and is available to play in OKC's home game against Miami at 7 p.m. Friday.

"There's nothing to worry about," Biyombo said in his video. "I'm good. I'm about to play tomorrow, which is fun. ... I'm just grateful that I'm (doing) well."

Biyombo shared that he has been practicing periods of fasting, which is the abstention from eating and sometimes drinking, for the past 15 years.

Wednesday's incident was the first time Biyombo has had any issues with the process. He collapsed on the bench during a timeout late in the first quarter and did not return to the game.

But the 13-year pro is in good spirits, and he thanked everyone for the support he received.

"My heart is overwhelmed with the amount of people and the amount of care that you guys have shown," Biyombo said. "I'm so grateful for those who took the time to just reach out, and we'll see you tomorrow on the court."

OKC signed Biyombo to a minimum contract on Feb. 10. He has appeared in four games with the team.
