Over the next few years, a new group of NBA stars will make their debuts and elevate certain franchises.

Memphis Grizzlies forward GG Jackson, a former five-star recruit, watched the McDonald’s All-American game on Tuesday and thought future Rutgers players Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper looked impressive.

“Ace Bailey, Dylan Harper, Cooper Flagg? Yeah, them boys coming to take over the league,” Jackson said on Instagram.

Bailey and Harper, two five-star recruits, may change the program’s trajectory and establish themselves as future NBA stars next season. After finishing with a 15-17 record last season, the Scarlet Knights need both players to live up to their potential to compete in the Big Ten and make another NCAA Tournament.

Harper, who played at Don Bosco High School, finished with 22 points, six rebounds and five assists, while Bailey finished with just six points and five rebounds.

The top recruit in the game, Flagg, finished with eight points.

Harper’s brother, Ron Harper Jr., played five years (2018-2022) at Rutgers and is currently a free agent. His father, Ron, is a five-time NBA champion and played in the NBA from 1986 to 2001.
