A 34-year-old man has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in Oxford.

Tobias Bruce from Oxford was stabbed in an incident in College Lane, Littlemore, on Sunday, February 25.

He and a 28-year-old man were both hospitalised following the stabbing, but 32-year-old Tobias died from his injuries two days later.

Today (April 8) Ryan Byrne, aged 34, of Hathaway Green Lane, Stratford-upon-Avon, has been charged with one count of murder and two counts of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning (April 9).

Thames Valley Police arrested two people in connection with the incident last Thursday (April 4).

The two arrests brought the total number to seven people arrested in connection with the incident.

The force arrested a 21-year-old woman from Stratford-Upon-Avon on suspicion of assisting an offender. 

A 36-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and assisting an offender.

A 41-year-old man from Headington was also arrested on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder.

And a 30-year-old man from Botley was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specific controlled drug above the specified limit.

Officers also arrested a 57-year-old woman from Headington on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They have since been released on bail.

A 33-year-old man, previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been released with no further action.
