KC firefighter charged with felony for urinating on co-worker’s property

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City firefighter has been charged with a felony Wednesday after allegedly urinating on a co-worker’s items valued at nearly $3,000 last year.

The Platte County prosecutor says there’s a warrant out for the suspect’s arrest.

On the night of Sept. 10, a Kansas City Fire Department medic claimed her CD player, boogie board, and medic training books had been urinated on at the fire station near the Kansas City International Airport, according to court documents.

Kansas City Police Crime Laboratory testing showed a “very strong” indication that Pleaze Robinson III urinated on his co-worker’s property, according to the Platte County prosecutor.

The victim told investigators that she had encountered previous issues with Robinson and another firefighter.

Robinson III is being charged with first-degree harassment and property damage, both felonies punishable by up to four years in prison. A warrant has been issued for his arrest, and his bond is set at $10,000. The Kansas City Police Department is investigating this case.

“The allegations in this case are disturbing,” Platte County Prosecuting Attorney Eric Zahnd said in a statement.

“It’s very troubling that a firefighter who is supposed to serve the public is accused of harassing a co-worker in such a distressing way.”

This isn’t his first run-in with the law. In 2022, Robinson III pleaded guilty to assault felonies after beating a woman and causing permanent damage to the victim’s face in 2019. He kept his job with the KCFD after the incident.
