RuPaul's Drag Race season 16 spoilers follow.

RuPaul's Drag Race star Morphine Love Dion has responded to fan "pressure" over disclosing their gender identity.

The queen, who was recently eliminated from the competition's ongoing 16th season, revealed on the show that they are non-binary.

It comes after fellow contestant Amanda Tori Meating came out as trans, with many viewers tagging Morphine online in an attempt to force them to come out.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about how they felt about their hand being forced, especially when fans have no facts in place, Morphine called the situation "a little weird".

"Even before Drag Race, every time, a beautiful trans girl would be like, 'You're so gorgeous. When are you starting 'mones?' It would bother me a lot," they said. "Now it's more of a joke, because they know I'm not there yet.

"I'm not saying I don't want to be trans, I'm not saying I am trans – if I am, I need time for myself to figure that out. I'm comfortable with myself now, and I don't think it's cute to force or pressure someone into transitioning. I think it's a little weird."

Morphine added: "I love to joke and kiki. I don't get bothered by a lot of things. Sometimes it's fine, but if I'm at the club and you're trying to put implants or inject me with estrogen, I'm going to run away, girl."

The star went on to note that "other people in the comments trying to force stuff" needs to stop.

Morphine was eliminated from the season last week, leaving them in fifth place, with Nymphia Wind, Plane Jane, Q and Sapphira Cristál now remaining.

RuPaul's Drag Race US airs on MTV in the US and WOW Presents Plus in the UK.
