LIGHT RAIN-SNOW STILL POSSIBLE THURSDAY
Your First Alert Weather Forecast:
Skies will be cloudy overnight with light snow showers possible by daybreak. Snow showers will push from north to south through the area wrapping up around the time of our morning commute. Although some slick roads are possible, widespread travel problems are not expected as temperatures hovering around freezing. Any new accumulation would be limited to under an inch. Passing light rain or snow is possible throughout the day and the clouds will continue.
Wind gusts may still be around 30 mph at time Thursday, but the wind field with this storm is gradually going to shrink in size and scope. Sustained speeds will be closer to 10 mph by Friday. Skies will also begin to clear for Friday allowing for more significant sunshine by the afternoon. Highs Thursday will be around 40° with low-to-mid 40s on Friday. By the weekend those temperatures will push to around 50 degrees.
Our next weather maker is expected to give us more clouds and a chance of showers late Sunday into Monday. The solar eclipse takes place Monday afternoon and it’s possible that clouds could hamper our view. It’s a wait and see game at this point.
