Stephanie McMahon's future with WWE has been revealed after her shock re-emergence at WrestleMania 40 last weekend.

McMahon, 47, resigned as co-CEO of WWE and from the company entirely in January 2023 when her controversial father Vince returned as executive chairman.

That came just months after he had stepped down from his role as CEO in July 2022 amid sexual misconduct allegations and payouts to several women being revealed.

In January this year, he resigned from his position as Executive Chairman of TKO - the company formed following WWE and UFC's merger - after being accused of sex trafficking.

Fans hoped that Vince McMahon's exit might pave the way for Stephanie to return and her surprise WrestleMania outing is a positive indication.

Triple H says it is great to have her 'home' and TKO are reportedly supportive of her, although no official role has emerged yet

Triple H says it is great to have her 'home' and TKO are reportedly supportive of her, although no official role has emerged yet

Her segment was internally listed as a Triple H promo, indicating that they wanted to keep it under wraps, as reported by Fightful Select via Wrestling Inc

TKO is reportedly supportive of Stephanie McMahon and her appearance has been seen as her taking their side and a stand against her father.

Sources were unsure over how she was dealing with the allegations directed at her father and it is not clear if she will return in a full-time role.

Triple H, WWE's chief content officer and McMahon's husband, said: 'It's so great to have her back home.

'I get her home all the time, but like...to have her back here, to see the doubt leave her by being here for the last few days, to see her confidence come back and to know that this is her home.

'All of you, all of us, all this business, it's her home. And as much as anybody on the planet, she belongs here. And hopefully she knows that now. So [I'm] happy to have her back.'

In short, while it looks like WWE would like to have her back, nothing has been made official yet.

Vince McMahon allegations

Vince McMahon is the co-founder of the modern WWE and former CEO of the company.

In July 2022, he resigned over sexual misconduct allegations and reports that he had offered payments to four former employees to silence accusations.

However, he returned as TKO's executive chairman in January 2023. TKO are the company formed by the £16.75million merger of WWE and UFC.

In January 2024, the 78-year-old billionaire resigned as TKO's executive chairman after former WWE employee Janel Grant accused him of sex trafficking and defecating on her head during a threesome. Grant sued him, WWE, and another company executive.

McMahon told Mail Sport: 'I stand by my prior statement that Ms. Grant's lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and is a vindictive distortion of the truth.'

In February 2024, a new statement emerged from former WWE star Ashley Massaro, who died in 2019 by suicide.

It alleged that McMahon sexually preyed on female wrestlers and that she personally was punished on-screen for rejecting his advances.

In 2016, Massaro had alleged that members of the US Armed Forces drugged and sexually assaulted her during a WWE tour of Kuwait in 2006.

She also accused McMahon of abuse and claimed WWE discouraged her from reporting the alleged sexual assault.

Eight months before her suicide, a lawsuit was dismissed where she claimed head injuries from her wrestling career made her spiral into depression.
