An unsuccessful bidder for the 25-year contract to manage the Durban Container Terminal (DCT) Pier 2 is seeking to urgently interdict the award to the Philippines' International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI).

APM Terminals, a division of shipping giant A.P. Moller-Maersk, confirmed on Friday that it has lodged papers in the High Court in Durban to prevent the contract between Transnet Port Terminals and ICTSI from going ahead.
