Police have arrested a woman wanted for more than a year in the deadly hit-and-run crash that killed a man and his dog in Madison.

MADISON-- Police have arrested a woman wanted for more than a year in the deadly hit-and-run crash that killed a man and his dog in Madison.

Yesterday, March 30th, 2024, after over a year of investigations following the hit-and-run incident in Madison that took the lives of 66 year-old Stephen Fleck and his dog, Tiambra Walker was placed under arrest by the City of Peoria's Police Department in Illinois.

Walker, a previous hit-and-run offender, had been evading arrest since the fatal incident back in 2023.

The Peoria Police laid out several new charges for Walker, including Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Escape, Theft, and Resisting/Obstructing Justice.

Walker is currently being held at the Peoria County Jail, but will eventually be transferred to the Dane County Jail.
