Teen shot, killed in northwest Las Vegas valley

Update: Metro’s original release described the victim as a “male subject.” A new release specified the victim was a teenager. This article has been updated to reflect that change.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A teenager was shot and killed in the northwest Las Vegas valley Tuesday night, according to Metro police.

Around 9:25 p.m., police received multiple reports of a person “shot and down” in an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Club Pacific Way near Buffalo Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard.

When officers arrived they found a teen with apparent gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

Police said the teenager was involved in a flight with several other individuals in the complex.

All suspects had left the scene before police arrived. However, police said there does not appear to be a danger to the public.

The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released
by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
