Gabrielle Union, 51, is radiant in a faded yellow blazer and matching slacks as she enjoys a rainy day in New York City

Gabrielle Union put on a radiant display wearing a stylish ensemble as she stepped out in New York City on Thursday.

The Bring It On actress, 51 - who recently stunned as she celebrated being named a global ambassador for Knix - brushed aside the rainy weather as she enjoyed an outing in the SoHo neighborhood.

The beauty turned heads wearing a faded yellow blazer that was left unfastened at the front and also wore a pair of matching, high-waisted trousers.

She opted for a plain white shirt underneath and slipped into a pair of chic, black loafers that offered a bit of color contrast to the outfit.

Her dark locks were pulled back into a sleek up do, preventing any loose strands from falling onto her face.

Union accessorized her look with a pair of gold-hooped earrings to add a flashy flare to the ensemble.

She easily carried a black purse in her right hand to hold a few items she needed during the drizzly, spring outing in the bustling city.

Her makeup was glammed up, and comprised of a voluminous lashes as well as a warm blush to better accentuate her cheekbones.

For a finishing touch, the She's All That actress wore a glossy, nude-colored tint on her lips.

Gabrielle was spotted making her way through a crowded sidewalk and at one point, flashed a cheerful smile before heading to her next destination.

During a recent interview with People earlier this month, the star opened up about her personal sense of style and stated, 'I'm me 100% of the time. I follow where my passion is.'

'Today, I'm in sweats and my Ugg's, very L.A. But last night, baby, I had a slit up to my tuchus and a heel, which usually I fight back against the heels.'

'My style evolves daily and I dress how I feel and sometimes I feel powerful in a suit and sometimes I feel most powerful naked,' Union continued.

'I indulge whatever it is that I'm feeling because the expression through clothes is going to be much more authentic if I dress the way I feel and not to be a hanger for someone else. That's worked for me.'

Gabrielle also told the publication, 'I stopped caring about what other people thought and I realized that the peanut gallery's thoughts pay not one bill.'

'They're not with me in the trenches, so why am I giving them control of how I look or what I put on my body or who I'm friends with or opportunities that I seek out? I'm me 100% of the time.'

Union has been keeping busy and late last month in March, attended a lavish dinner party in NYC to celebrate becoming a global ambassador for lingerie brand, Knix.

She wowed in a white blazer as well as a black maxi skirt and bralette top underneath.

The beauty also starred in a campaign for the company, and in a statement at the time, per WWD, she expressed, 'I'm proud to be working with a brand like Knix.'

'Their mission to inspire people to live unapologetically free, at any age and any stage is what resonated with me most.'

Gabrielle added, 'Because when I stopped caring about what everyone else thought, and leaned into what I thought - that's when I felt empowered and free.'

In 2014, Union tied the knot with NBA player, Dwayne Wade, and she became stepmother to his three children whom he welcomed with ex Siovaughn Funches: Zaire, 21, Zaya, 16 and Xavier, 10.

Gabrielle and Dwayne also welcomed their daughter, Kaavia, five, via surrogate in November 2018.

While also recently talking to People, the 10 Things I Hate About You actress opened up about being 'transparent' with her children. 'I think a lot of times as parents, we never want to admit that we don't know.'

'We haven't had a clue sometimes and sometimes we need help or sometimes we have to search out the information. We want to appear to be in control, all-knowing, at all times.'

'We don't also really want to be that transparent because we're afraid of being judged and we want to be able to control how other people see us.'

The beauty continued, 'And all that does is create an illusion of who we are and it closes the door to real intimacy within the family, real information and a real understanding of who your parents are.'

She also explained that she was beginning to know her own mother - who will turn 77-years-old this year.

'I don't want to learn about you at 77, I could have had a whole different relationship with you had I gotten these stories and this information and your fears, your hopes, your dreams when I was growing up.'

'So I want Kaavia and Zaya to know me, not the illusion of what I want them to think,' Union expressed.
